The acceptance of a pressure device or assembly consists of a final test and a pressure test. For assemblies, it also includes the testing of the safety devices.
Acceptance is carried out by the notified body as part of the conformity assessment in accordance with modules F and G of the Pressure Equipment Directive. Within the scope of the Directive for simple pressure vessels, a batchwise acceptance test of the series-produced pressure vessels is carried out in module C1.
Within the scope of the final inspection, the conformity of the manufactured equipment with the tested technical documentation and the essential safety requirements of the EU Directive is verified. For this purpose, an internal and external visual inspection as well as an examination of the manufacturing documentation is carried out. The manufacturing documentation includes, among other things, the qualification certificates for personnel and working procedures, findings on destructive and non-destructive tests, test certificates for the materials and filler materials used and the like.
